How do others pick themselves up after returning from there trips away?
Just spent a fortnight in Pattaya and now Im back home everything is different.
Any advice to help the blues until my next trip would be appreciated as I dont think I could take the local bar scene seriously any more.

I think everyone gets the blues after returning from a trip to Thailand. I always like to focus my next trip and start planning for that. If you trip is far off this maybe more difficult.

Start making dry runs in your mind of what & how you are going to do next time better & keep envisioning...Don Muang Airport deparure terminal is probably the lonliest place on earth.

Collectively, we all feel the same when coming home. The UK bar scene is shit
in fact it's a waste of time unless you look like a young Tom Cruise and are loaded with money. That rules most of us out right away.

I gave up going out in the UK a while ago, same people sitting looking out a window at the pissing rain.

If your on-line become involved with the day to day happenings in Pattaya. You can even check out live cams etc. And of course keep up to date with info and opinions in forums like this.

Save your money, come back quick and enjoy.

well ive just been to see the boss and hes put me another 12 hours a week in my shifts and says Im due another 2 weeks off from sept onwards so Its work and save till then.
This last trip was in June which Im told is the quite time."later on many Falang"
Is there another quieter period before christmas somebody mentioned the first 2 weeks in November not being that busy, would this be a good time to plan for a revisit.
Ohh and a HUGE thx to everyone who contributes on this forum it was through reading these posts that my mind was made up to go and god im so glad I did and glad I took the time to wade through the masses of info on hear to not feel like a complete n00b on arrival.

Anyone else whos not been all I can say is read up as much as you can and buy that ticket.it really is a life changing experiance.

Rocky I dont suppose you have any links to live cams that sounds like an amazing way to while away those dull evenings.

Include a quick snap of one of the lovelys I met.sry couldnt get any naked ones need more practice to sweet talk them into that.

Coming home was always a severe downer for me, now I stay here about eight Months in the year (well, that's the plan anyway) it can have it's low points too. I think even Paradise can get boring.

On another point, down soi 8 last night and my Mate Alan who has a bar there is telling me it's dead. And...I have never saw as many new and beautiful girls and hardly any Farang.

The low season is definetely the time to come, the choice is amazing right now.

Not rich by any means I can assure you. I saved my money years ago while working in various locations with Halliburton, came home to the UK and started buying property at auction.

I had a great result in the stockmarket about two years ago with a company on the Nasdaq call GENR. Look up the chart from about two years ago, the stock dipped to about 35 cents. I bought about 100,000 shares and three weeks later they hit nearly $6. Sadly I sold at $2 but made a decent bit of money and bought some property at auction. (I also lost nearly $80,000 on WFHC, BPUR and WEL) stocks are dodgy. My friend invested just after me and has lost nearly half of His money.

Between myself and ex-Wife we have seven properties we rent out, split the money.

I only live here because they are all rented at the moment, if some become empty I have to go back and prepare them for rent again. That's how I live here, not on a big budget, about $1800 - $2000 a Month. Although the last week I have went a bit crazy, way overspending on my budget.

Everybody lives here in different ways, most people I know create internet sites and sell stuff.
The Guy staying next to me plays poker and on the internet and does very well.

Yeh the low season works for me but I need to know when the next low season is as I cant take a holiday until september onwards. What Im looking for is a simillar kind of experiance to june later in the year.Weather isnt a big concern for me but I dont really like to be swamped with crowds and really enjoyed my time in June.

Depends if the Phuket brigade migrate to Pattaya again or go back to Phuket.
September October are still fairly quite though, picks up November.
