There are about 30 or so hotels in Balibago, Malabanias, Clark Field and Dau. Most offer decent rooms in the $15 - $30 range. Most Hotels have air-conditioning and safe deposit boxes. Most of the rooms are small by Western standards, most beds are double or twin size, mattresses consist of a thin piece of foam on a wooden platform. If you stay in Malabanias, you'll have to put up with the traffic jams on your way to the bars. You are welcome to entertain friends in your room at no additional charge. Before taking any room, I advice you to inspect it first. It's best not to pay for a room in advance, though a discount may be offered.

But for you money the Orchid Inn has great service and it is guest friendly. The Swagman Hotel is good too. A little bit off the way but great service and girl friendly. Tropicana is another great hotel to stay in but right now is being remodeled. The Kokomos has rooms also and its worth to check them out too.

About the Bars. You have over 50 bars to choose from. Most of them Located on Fields Ave., on Perimeter Road and on Santos Street AKA "Blow Road".

You can go to La Bamba, Bananitas, Bunny Ranch, Secrets, Hole in the Wall, Nifty's, DMZ, Pattayaland, Mirrors, Dirty Duck, Honey Ko's, etc...

To have fun in AC you have to be on your best frame of mind and attitude. If you do that you will have a great time and you will meet other ex-pats that will guide you around and will tell you which clubs are hot and which are not. What could be a great club today may not be the case tomorow. Everything changes from day to day.
