Bangkok Pattaya Hospital: Terrible service.

A few weeks ago visited and had a lot of cosmetic work done in the Dental clinic. No problems with work etc.... But noticed they did not reply to my email and I ended up having to call them... Then They changed my appointment and did not tell me.

Not the end of the world.


Last week I get asked to assist a young girl who has some sort of Vaginal infection and she is sick.... I call (from London) hospital to arrange for her to be treated. lady promises to send email detailing all papers etc needed to allow payment to be made by credit card. never arrived. Emailed 3 times no response. called again No help and it all sounded like they couldnt care.

Ended up again sending this lady to the Bumrungrad in Bangkok. (Turns out she has been abused by some farang who has damaged her.....) one email thats all it took... "No problems " and "we will keep you adviced on all costs on a daily basis". They to have my full details on file due to the amount of times I have been there !!

Each and every email gets a auto reply to confirm receipt. And every email gets answered within a day...

Thats whY they are the best Hospital in Thailand...

The Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is living in the Dark ages....
i sent a formal letter of complaint to its Directors 2 days ago by email.....
Not even a confirmation of receipt !!!!!

Will not waste anymore time and money there.....

Agency, would you mind starting another thread to tell us about the dental cosmetic work you've had done in Thailand. I've noticed that some Thai hospitals have started advertising here and the prices are so cheap that they're becoming a real alternative to private health insurance. I could do with some dental work which is why I'm interested.

I do not want to reveal my profession, but I work a lot in Surgery. I have visited Bumrungrad, and it is an awesome hospital. It is the only third world International hospital that is accredited to US standards.

However, I must warn you. If you want to get a beer belly taken off, without losing the weight first, it may cost you your life! There are unsrupulous surgeons around the world who will do this, but the sheer amount of tissue removed can and often does create a clotting problem with your blood. Your body thinks your are bleeding badly, because cutting the tissue releases substances/markers. So a massive effort to clot begins. Over a couple days, you will get a clot in your leg, it will migrate to your lung and kill you in 2 minutes. I have seen it myself in a friends wife who nearly died. She had to have a Greenfeld filter put in to catch clots. My friend, dont do this surgery.

A tummy tuck is for someone who has lost all his fat, and the surgeon is only removing lose skin. this is safe. Do not get abdominoplasty. It is very dangerous.

Bumrungrad is very good, my friend had a triple bypass in there and He has a new lease of life as the result of the operation.

On the down side, His credit card number was taken while He was in there and someone spend over $7000 accredited to His number. Maybe an isolated incident. No slant meant on the Hospital itself.

I have heard this about tummy tuck surgery. I was a bit tongue n cheek re. the excercise. I excercise here every day but just go and spoil it all by eating too much also. Mind you, I'm still a sexy Man...you have to believe them, don't you?

very good service. I had better in Turkey . Certain things they lacked.. Like pre injection numbing spray to ease the pain. Also not The most comfy patient chairs... But thats not realy important.

I will put my money on The Bumrungrad for my next dental needs and further medical treatments as required. It might be "expensive" but its the best .. I make that a cheap deal!! As for most of us it isnt expensive.

But wish they swould get rid of the McDonalds... lowers the tone..

It's your money you do with it what you want but your genorosity will make you a very big target here. You will lose money in Thailand.

As for Thai hospitals v NHS. Yes, Bumrangrad is very good, the Doctors have mostly been trained in the US UK etc, but the training that the nursing staff recieve is very poor indeed.

A Thai nurse cannot go and work in any other Country without firstly training in that Countries Health system to that Countries health standard.
Where a UK nurse is much sought after and can go and work any Country in the World.

Dental care...two years ago I spent about 80,000 baht on dental care here. I got five crowns and 1 bridge, veneers and fillings and the results were excellent. This was a small dentist on Pattaya Klang. Two years on nothing's came loose or fell out.

I am getting the money paid back to me by my friend. Its just I was in a situation to get it sorted where he isnt.

What sickens me is th eabuse some guys give to these little girls... Ok.. I have fisted a woman.. but I told her I would and she was ok about it. Plenty of time and i wasnt rough.

By all acounts this very small girl who is only 19 was ripped open by some drunk farang who thought it was fun to see her scream and pass out with the pain... Thats sick. Thats what spoils Thailand for most.. the sick cunts who hurt women for fun.

Agency...I agree with you on the nurses. They are caring gentle souls. I was so impressed by their care when my girl had the baby in hospital. Although their training just isn't up to Western standard. My ex Wife's a an F grade casualty nurse and on holiday a few years ago in Greece we witnessed a terrible motorway smash. She climbed into an overturned car and kept these people alive. When the Greek paramedic came He asked Her what to do He couldn't stop shaking.

Thai nurses do care but a smile wont save your life, I can assure you.
