Beer bars, GO GO`s. Huh??!?!

OK I have read a load of stuff about the Thai scene over the past few weeks, I plan to make my first trip over in October this year.

The one question that I have not found an answer to is how do I tell the difference between a beer bar and a go go bar. Say I`m walking down random street number 5 and spot a bunch of places, how the hell do I tell if its a beer bar or a go go without going inside?

Most of the beer bars are open air.

Some of them are not, but still the doors are usually wide open.

The gogo's are always behind closed doors.

In any event, if you are not sure, just step in and take a look - though I'm sure once you get there, you will see there isn't really a chance you will take a gogo for a beerbar or v/ versa.

If you see a lot of girls dancing around Poles you are either in a go go bar or in Poland!!

Go go bar = pretty dancers half nacked behing closed doors.
Beer bar = plenty of girls, not all very pretty but some stunning, around an open-air bar.

Yes the dancers are very cute, but the often have a bad attitude. Bar fine costs more and they don't always offer a good service. You pay a lady drink and they have to dance every 10 minutes if you don't barfine them. What a pain ! Had some bad experiences with some of these girls, not all though.

Beer bar girls are funny and you can talk to them all night long if you want. Mostly have a great attitude and you can enjoy your time with them. Drinks and bar fine are cheaper than gogo bars.

Try both of the above and let me know what you think !

A third choice is soi 6 : bar behind closed door, but girls standing outside. They wait for short timer, but you can have a drink with them. Not a bad idea if you just want to release some "pressure". Lots and lots of great looking girls there.

I prefer beer bars. My experience is that the girls give much better service than their go-go counterparts.

GENERALLY girls in the go-go's tend to be better looking, but this is a far from totally true statement. Many Women who work in beer bars do not want to dance, and usually Women in the beer bars are just starting out.

All the Gogo bars have signs like "Misty Agogo" or something like that. "Gogo" is always in the name of the bar, and it always says so on the sign outside. And the beer bars have no walls.

Lol...you said it all and summed it up perfectly. By the time the go-go girl gets barfined She's fuckin knackered. Hot sex is the last thing on Her mind.

I truly believe the bigger go-gos around Walking Street are spoiled now, the girls are greedy and don't give a good service.

Funny thing though.
I once picked an absolute STUNNER out of Kings Castle in Bangkok. This girl was so beautifull she would stop the traffic and she fucked like it was going out of fashion.

She reckoned because of her looks that lots of blokes wouldnt pick her up because they thought she wouldnt be good in bed.
